| Tips on Better Searching |

- Search using English alphabet only.
- Search entry is not case-sensitive.
- Use singular word as far as possible, for example, enter engine instead of engines.
- For look up of acronyms and abbreviations, please go to Maritime Acronym.
- Where the search entry is a difficult or long word, or when the spelling is uncertain,
you can improve the search result using part of the word, for example,
forepeak can be searched using fore or peak; and athwartship using wart
or thwart or ship.
- Where the search entry contains more than one word, the search may give better result if
you search one term at a time, for example, search result for chain locker may be
improved by searching the term chain or locker separately.
